We don’t just talk about change. We drive it.
Left Lane Strategies works at the intersection of public relations, policy expertise, and political strategy. We understand that real change requires more than a good idea or clever message — you need to control the narrative and build trust in a constantly changing political environment.
Our approach draws from our track-record of making the “impossible” both practical and popular at the ballot box and in the legislature. From winning tough elections and redefining policy debates, we’ve seen firsthand how unapologetic communications and grassroots power can overcome even the best-funded opposition.
We only work with candidates, causes, and campaigns we believe in. We always fight to win.
Meet the Team
Louis Di Paolo (he/him)
Founder & Principal
Louis Di Paolo knows how to win tough fights for progressive causes. He’s led communications and strategy for some of New Jersey’s most high-profile policy campaigns, from the $15 minimum wage to the millionaires’ tax to the Child Tax Credit to the Corporate Transit Fee to fund NJ Transit.
Before founding Left Lane Strategies, Lou was the Vice President of New Jersey Policy Perspective, the state’s premier think tank. Directing the research and communications teams, Lou worked closely with advocacy organizations, labor unions, grassroots movement leaders, and elected officials to build narrative power and drive policy change. He previously worked as the Legislative Director for the New Jersey Working Families Party, leading campaigns to raise wages and expand voting rights.
As a former elected official, campaign staffer, and legislative aide, Lou brings an insider’s knowledge of government with an organizer’s commitment to making it work for everyone. He specializes in translating complex policy into compelling stories, and he advises advocacy campaigns, coalitions, and candidates across the country.
Raised in a working-class union household, Lou has dedicated his career to fighting for economic justice. When he's not working to advance progressive causes, you can find him taking photos, cruising on his yellow Penny board, or cheering on the Mets. He lives in Jersey City with his partner Jenna and their cat, Mau.
